Why did you choose OB/GYN?
I chose OB/GYN because of the variety of procedures and opportunities to make a difference in the lives of women. Having experienced limited access to care at one point in my life, I strive to provide excellent and compassionate care to patients in need. My interest in Fellowship and research is a reason why I entered OB/GYN as there is a plethora of unique opportunities to discover new data to improve outcomes for patients. I seek to empower my patients to participate in medical decision making.
Why do OB/GYN at UCSF Fresno?
UCSF Fresno provides an environment of autonomy as well as exposure to extreme pathology with a diverse patient population in need of excellent medical care. The lack of fellowships allows residents to act as the fellow, and truly experience complex surgeries and specialty decision making. The camaraderie in our program is obvious. I trust my fellow residents and enjoy working with them every day. You will leave extremely well-trained and ready to tackle any situation in your practice!
I was born in Pomona, California, however, I have lived most of my live in Tulsa, Oklahoma, before coming back to the golden state for undergrad at USC and medical school at UCSD. My free time is spent cooking Japanese and Indian food, watching horror movies, sending memes to friends, and trying to food at eateries in Fresno. Balcony gardening and brunching are essential during my weekends/days-off! Fun fact: I collect mugs during my travels.
