Sports fans will find many opportunities to enjoy their favorite games in and around Fresno.
Fresno is home to the Pacific Coast League’s Triple-A baseball team the Fresno Grizzlies. The team plays at Chukchansi Park, which is recognized in the U.S. as one of Triple-A’s best stadiums. Soccer also is popular here. The Premier Development League’s Fresno Fuego have a strong following and starting in 2018, we will have a professional United Soccer League team. Ice hockey fans follow the Fresno Monsters. Plus, many other options exist for sports fans such as the wide array of Fresno State Bulldogs men’s and women’s athletic teams, high school sports and statewide athletic events that are hosted in Fresno. Root for the home team or cheer for your favorite college and professional sports teams based in northern and southern California, which are just a few hours away by car.
