The Library at UCSF Fresno provides instructional services to promote both effective and efficient research skills for its users. Library instruction aims to assist researchers in developing a broad understanding of the skills and concepts related to the identification, access, evaluation, use, and citation of information resources.
Curriculum-Related Instruction – Instruction can be designed for the specific curricular needs of the medical education program. The instruction may involve multiple concepts related to research, such as the utilization of specific resources, advanced search techniques, evaluation of information, and reference management. Curricular instruction incorporates a hands-on module and can take place at the UCSF Fresno facility or outside.
Workshops – The Library offers periodic workshops focusing on a specific area of research. Workshop topics may include: PubMed Advanced Searches, EBM Searches, and RefWorks.
