Application for Underrepresented in Medicine Sub-Internship Scholarship

Award Amount up to $2000

This scholarship is intended to provide unique opportunities and support for minoritized medical students who wish to complete a month-long sub-internship in Internal Medicine at UCSF Fresno.

To be eligible for this scholarship, you must be entering your final year of medical school and planning to pursue a career in Internal Medicine.  You must meet all course pre-requisites as outlined in our website.  You must identify as part of a group underrepresented in medicine.  We are open to considering many forms of underrepresentation in medicine, including LQBTQ+ persons as well as, in the AAMC’s words, “those racial and ethnic populations that are underrepresented in the medical profession relative to their numbers in the general population.”

Applications due by Monday, August 1st for initial review and will be accepted on a rolling basis for a total of four scholarships
