The Leon S. Peters Resident/Fellow of the Year Award is selected by the Resident Council.
This academic year 2020-2021, the Resident Council will present TWO AWARDS. One award will be presented to a resident award and one award will be presented to a fellow.
To nominate a deserving resident and/or fellow, please provide the Resident Council with the name and brief summary of why the nominee meets one or more of the following criteria:
– Demonstrated an outstanding job in patient and family care
– Quantifiable success with a research project
– Volunteered their time in the community to provide medical assistance where needed
– Proven to be a well-rounded physician concerned with their patients, research, and community
It is important that we have a description, not just the name of the nominee. In order for the nominee to be considered, the comments section must be filled out.
A resident and a fellow will be selected from the names received and will be presented with this prestigious award at the UCSF Fresno graduation ceremony in June 2021. Both the resident and fellow award recipients will receive a $500 award.
This award is funded through a gift from the Leon S. Peters Foundation.
Deadline to submit nominations is May 8, 2021
