Core Curriculum-Weekly on Wednesdays
An introductory core lecture series is given by the faculty at the start of each academic year.  Fellows actively participate in preparing and presenting core curriculum topics under the supervision of a faculty mentor who also facilitates discussion and teaching during these sessions.

GI/Liver Pathology Conference-Monthly on 2nd Wednesday.
This conference provides an overview in gastrointestinal and liver pathology.  This conference is led by a pathologist at Community Regional Medical Center who reviews the histologic features and pathology findings of gastrointestinal and liver disorders.

GI Radiology Conference-Monthly on 3rd Friday
This conference provides an avenue for fellows to review interesting radiographic images on their patients with faculty from the Department of Radiology and stimulate discussions on the interpretation and appropriate use of radiographic studies.

Hepatobiliary and GI Oncology Multidisciplinary Conference-Weekly on Thursdays
This conference brings together a multidisciplinary team from gastroenterology, surgery, oncology, radiation oncology, radiology, and pathology to discuss and plan the management of patients with hepatobiliary and gastrointestinal malignancies.

Journal Club-Monthly on 1st Wednesday
Journal Club reviews the latest practice-changing publications and focuses on how to critically analyze a journal article and apply evidenced-based medicine.

Morbidity and Mortality Conference-Monthly on 4th Friday
M&M conference focuses on improving clinical outcomes and avoiding future pitfalls by reviewing cases with adverse events in a forum that promotes professionalism and ethical integrity.

Research and Quality Improvement Conference-Quarterly
Research & Quality Improvement Conference provides a venue to develop and promote clinical research and quality improvement projects within the division.

Internal Medicine Grand Rounds Weekly on Tuesdays
UCSF Fresno faculty and visiting professors present the latest advances and research in clinical medicine.
