Length of Fellowship:   

One year



$80,000+/yr + benefits
There are also opportunities for moonlighting within the department.


Additional Funds

$2,000/yr for medical education/conferences


Number of Clinical Hours:

8 8 hour clinical shifts per month


Other Duties

The fellow will give 4-6 lectures during the year. They will be required to complete 1000 scan during the year and begin the process of RDMS certification. Other responsibilities will include maintaining and updating the website image database and teaching cases.


Number of Sites

Community Regional Medical Center is the only site. It is a high volume, high acuity level 1 trauma center in central Fresno which acts as a receiving hospital for a large surrounding radius.

Additional Opportunities

UCSF Fresno residents participate in an international elective in the Netherlands. Faculty have come to our facility to learn ultrasound and Dr. Bengiamin has traveled to the Netherlands to collaborate on teaching educational workshops. There may be an opportunity for the future fellow to participate in this program both in Fresno and abroad.


Educational Experience

Fellows will receive hands on teaching from faculty with a wide range of experience and training. Through clinical experience, teaching, and research they will increase their knowledge base and sharpen their skills. They will also be involved in teaching students and residents. They will be an integral part of the medical student emergency ultrasound elective and senior area of concentration.


Image Review

One session per week is devoted to image review and teaching.
