Hobbies, facts and interests

Interests in global health, public health, violent trauma prevention/intervention, education, and searching for ways to combine all of the above. Currently serve as the medical consultant for the non-profit Yemen Aid (yemenaid.org) and co-chair of the Yemen Relief Project (yemenreliefproject.org); hobbies include landscaping, podcasts, bbqs by the lake, hitting the gym, blasting any kind of music (yes, including country), guitar, basketball, soccer, playing with my son and watching cheesy/funny netflix with my wife (after my son is asleep!)

Why Fresno?

Generous, grateful patients that you learn a lot from; diverse and abundant pathology/procedures/trauma with huge potential for public health; kind residents across multiple specialties who understand we’re all on this tough journey together; brilliant attendings/residents who are approachable and will advocate for/support you; strong nurses and ancillary staff; everyone who leaves this program is a rock star and unstoppable!
