Hobbies, facts and interests

If you have made it this far, you have probably noticed a trend toward certain hobbies in this group. Alas, I am no different. I am especially fond of backpacking trips, day-hiking, peakbagging, camping, kayaking/rafting, snowboarding, and just generally immersing myself in the outdoors. When I’m not out in the wilderness, I can probably be found brewing up some coffee, cooking, or knocking back some IPA’s. My interests are primarily in wilderness medicine and international medicine.

Why Fresno?

Fresno struck me from day one as one as an incredibly busy, high acuity, challenging place to train, which was exactly what I was hoping for in a residency. Procedural experience is second to none and the faculty are all excellent educators. Couple that with the Parkmedic program and the international medicine opportunities available at UCSF, and it can’t be beaten. It’s also worth mentioning that this place draws some incredible people into the program. Plus: relaxed and affordable city, sunny weather, high mountains, and vast oceans, all right here.  ______________________________________________________________________________
