    Summary of Leadership/teaching roles: 

Director of Bariatric Services, Chief of Surgery.  I have hosted multi-disciplinary symposia on bariatric and minimally invasive surgery, provided grand rounds for the residents as well as the multiple institutions of Fresno and provided proctorships for local and international surgeons. Surgical residents have had the opportunity to participate in my clinic and to assist in surgery.  I have hosted students from the Doctor’s Academy and provided lectures for their classes. Regionally and nationally, I have been keynote speaker as well as expert panel member to multiple symposia and have been course director for many topics including the first international course on revisional bariatric surgery.


I have authored/co-authored more than 20 publications & have presented abstracts (including videos) at national & international society meetings.  I have created videos for training purposes.
