Pulmonary and Critical Care
UCSF Fresno Department of Pulmonary and Critical Care Fellowship
Welcome to the UCSF Fresno Pulmonary Disease Critical Care Medicine Fellowship Program.
Full accreditation was granted by the ACGME for a three-year pulmonary disease critical care medicine fellowship which launched its inaugural class in July 2008. Our primary training sites are Community Regional Medical Center of Fresno (CRMC) and Veterans Administration Central California Healthcare System. CRMC has recently undergone a $245 million expansion which includes state-of-the-art critical care facilities with sixty-eight ICU beds, a level 1 Trauma Center and a Regional Burn Center.
Our program includes clinical rotations, protected research blocks, ambulatory care and a broad range of conferences. An educational curriculum running the duration of the three-year program provides exposure to radiology, pathology, current literature, related disciplines and research interests of division colleagues as well as collaborators in the UCSF Fresno Medical Education Program.
The UCSF Fresno Pulmonary Disease Critical Care Medicine Fellowship Program admits three highly qualified physicians to its program each year. Our program places equal emphasis on both clinical and research training. Our goal is to produce skilled pulmonary clinicians, educators and investigators.
We are very excited about our program and look forward to training outstanding pulmonologists.
