Additional Information for International Medical Graduates:

The University of California requires that all residents be citizens of the United States, be in possession of a green card, or possess an ECFMG-sponsored J-1 visa.

The State of California requires that graduates of schools outside the U.S., Canada or Puerto Rico submit documentation to the Medical Board of California. The Medical Board will issue a "Postgraduate Training Authorization Letter" (PTAL) authorizing residency training in California. The letter is valid for entry into a training program for one year. The expected start date for residency training must be before the letter expires. Applications are not considered to be complete until a valid letter is received.

Fully accredited by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education.
