The UCSF Fresno Pediatric Residency Program emphasizes academic excellence in a supportive family environment that encourages personal growth and diverse clinical experiences. We emphasize a hands-on approach to training that engenders mature decision making early in the training process coupled with supportive faculty and staff.
Our residents learn to become excellent clinicians with a strong knowledge base in general pediatrics, the tools needed to continue lifelong learning using evidence-based medicine, and the confidence to execute these skills in an effective manner. After 3 years of residency, you will be well prepared for practice as a general pediatrician, pediatric hospitalist, or entry into a pediatric subspecialty fellowship.
Join us and enjoy the advantages of exposure to over 150 clinical faculty. Help run an active urban general pediatric clinic and learn inpatient medicine in a regional medical center and children’s hospital with depth and breadth of patients and pathology. You will have numerous experiences, both clinically and culturally, that will be life changing and are second to none.
We look forward to taking this journey with you!
