UCSF Fresno offers core clerkships to medical students in surgery, family practice, internal medicine, obstetrics/gynecology, pediatrics and psychiatry. First priority is given to UCSF students; however, visiting students may participate in all clerkships if they meet eligibility criteria and if space permits.

In addition to both core and elective clerkships, UCSF Fresno offers special opportunities for UCSF medical students. The Model Fresno program is available to 3rd year UCSF students for an intensive six-month period of hands-on clinical training in primary care settings. The Medical Spanish and Clinical Skills course is available to 1st and 2nd year UCSF students. Visiting 1st and 2nd year students can participate in the popular summer rural preceptor ship program.
