REQUIREMENTS

 

Applications for a post-grad, first-year resident will be accepted for the 2013 - 2014 program year.

ALL APPLICANTS MUST HAVE A PART I (through NBDE) OR CBSE (through NBME) SCORE TO REPORT PRIOR TO THE APPLICATION DEADLINE.

• WE ACCEPT ONLY THOSE APPLICANTS FROM A FULLY ACCREDITED U.S. OR CANADIAN DENTAL SCHOOL. ONLY QUALIFIED APPLICANTS SHOULD APPLY GIVEN THE INTENSE COMPETITION FOR THE TWO RESIDENCY POSITIONS.  PREFERENCE IS GIVEN TO APPLICANTS WITH CALIFORNIA DENTAL LICENSE, ACTIVE DEA NUMBER AND PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE. 

• We require California licensure and a valid DEA registration number by the start of your second year. 

• We require a paper be submitted for publication prior to graduation from this residency.

Our residency program participates in the Postdoctoral Dental Matching Program and PASS (http://web.adea.org/webapps/EPS/). The residency program must receive all necessary materials by October 15, 2012.

Send the following materials through PASS by October 1, 2012:

 

• National Board Part I or Comprehensive Basic Sciences Exam results

• Dental school transcripts (sent from the Registrar's office) - including the spring 2012 semester
• Personal Potential Index Evaluation (from three faculty)

• Dean's Institutional Evaluation

• Dental Admissions Test score (DAT)

Send the following materials directly to the program by October 15, 2012:

 

 

• Completed UCSF Fresno application form
• Curriculum Vitae
• Match Number (enter on application form)
• Small color identification photo (2x2)

• Undergraduate transcripts
