Remote Access


To access the library's resources from affiliated hospitals or other non-UCSF networked computers, the SSL VPN connection at http://vpn.ucsf.edu provides access to all licensed resources.

However, users need to request a VPN account by following the link on the home page of vpn.ucsf.edu. If you have any questions related to requesting the VPN account, please call UCSF Customer support at 415-514-4100, option 2.

Using Wireless

Wireless connection is provided throughout the UCSF Fresno Center building.  To meet UCSF standards, the wireless network is not open to general public and steps have been taken to secure the signal.  In order to use this network, the computers need to be configured and your UCSF Fresno user ID is required to authenticate to the network.  The complete step by step instructions for configuring the notebooks is here  If you prefer to have your computer configured by ITS staff, please contact them at 499-6660 to make arrangements.

Guest Access

To provide access to visiting professors, speakers, or other guests, ITS can provide a special account which will provide public internet access.  Please contact the UCSF Fresno ITS help desk in advance to have the account ready for your guests.

Print Collection

The UCSF Fresno Medical Library maintains a print collection in addition to its electronic resources. These items are not available for circulation. However, free photocopying is available to UCSF faculty and staff.
