Mission

To improve the health of Latino communities of the San Joaquin Valley through

• Assessment, monitoring, and research of community health issues
• Policy recommendations to policymakers, health professionals, and others
• Education of policymakers, health professors and the public
• Training of Latino health researchers.

 

Goals

• Develop, publish and disseminate periodic reports on health status of Latino communities and to identify important health issues
• Research Latino community major health issues for insights and solutions, through partnerships, and publish and disseminate reports
• Evaluate effectiveness of health programs for Latino communities
• Develop and disseminate policy recommendations to improve Latino health from the research and evaluations
• Train Latino health professionals in community health research
