- Assessment, monitoring, and research of community health issues
- Policy recommendations to policymakers, health professionals, and others
- Education of policymakers, health professors and the public
- Training of Latino health researchers.
Goals
- Develop, publish and disseminate periodic reports on health status of Latino communities and to identify important health issues
- Research Latino community major health issues for insights and solutions, through partnerships, and publish and disseminate reports
- Evaluate effectiveness of health programs for Latino communities
- Develop and disseminate policy recommendations to improve Latino health from the research and evaluations
- Train Latino health professionals in community health research
