What is Videoconferencing?
The ability to connect two or more sites electronically with the ability
to communicate with both video and audio. This connection can be made via
ISDN, IP, or over a network. The main advantage of videoconferencing is
removing the time that is occurred with travel and expenses when two distant
parties have to meet to confer over subject matter.
Who may use the available facilities?
Any staff or faculty member may request to use any of the available videoconferencing
facilities based on reservations for official university business only.

Auxiliary Features
In addition to point-to-point videoconferencing there are other features
available for the presenter on some of the units.
· Laptop computer hookup for PowerPoint presentations
· Multi-point conferencing
· VCR Playback and Recording
· Automatic camera tracking of the speaker
· Picture in picture interaction
· Document camera
· Projector imaging
Please keep in mind if connecting to a site other than those listed above, that long distance charges do apply for making videoconferencing connections unless the remote site is dialing into our system.
