The neuromuscular program is focused on a large spectrum of disorders affecting the spine, the nerves, the muscle and the junction between the nerve and muscle.  We evaluate patients of all ages, often referred, with suspected neuromuscular disease, by other physicians.  The program is organized with individual clinics directed around the evaluation and treatment of specific purpose or type of neuromuscular disease:

The treatment philosophy within the Program is one of proactive (early), aggressive multidisciplinary intervention.  There are hopeful alternatives at all stages of disease progression and the patient/families are oriented toward these approaches from the onset.

We have a team of dedicated allied health therapists specializing in:  physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, nutrition, social work, genetic counseling and respiratory therapy who actively participate in the treatment program and ongoing evaluations.

We regularly integrate available clinical research protocols in the treatment options available for our patients.
