Welcome to the Division of Neurology, UCSF Fresno website. Our Division is a subspecialty, multidisciplinary academic program which has undergone a significant expansion beginning in 2008.
Currently, our Division is comprised of subspecialty programs in Stroke, Neuromuscular disease/ALS, Epilepsy, Dementia/Alzheimer’s Disease and Multiple Sclerosis . A unique and aggressive treatment model within the Division incorporates multiple allied health services (PT, OT, speech therapy, nutrition, social work, respiratory therapy and DME) dedicated exclusively to the needs of our Division. In addition, industry sponsored and investigator initiated treatment trials are regularly incorporated as tools in the routine evaluation of the patients within our subspecialty clinics.
The recent and rapid expansion of resources within our Division now includes a 23,000 sq ft practice site on the third floor of the East Medical Plaza adjacent to the Community Regional Medical Center and the UCSF Fresno education and research facility. Additionally, dedicated inpatient facilities include a 52 bed Neuroscience unit, continuous monitoring EEG beds, step-down unit and separate inpatient electrodiagnostic unit.
The Division of Neurology along with the Division of Neurosurgery define the Central California Neuroscience Institute. The integration between these Divisions, the Community Regional Medical Center and UCSF, enables us to create a synergistic resource to address disorders of the nervous system throughout the Central Valley.
We hope this website will provide valuable information to you about our Division. Please feel free to contact us for any additional information or questions.
