  Research: I have been actively involved in several multisite clinical trials over my career in the areas of Diabetes, Health Services and Geriatrics.  I have mentored high school students in research through the UCSF-Fresno Summer Biomedical Internship Program.  I have also mentored several 3rd year IM resident's research projects. Received funding recently to develop programs and educate staff in the care of dementia patients
