Welcome to the UCSF Fresno Cardiovascular Disease Fellowship.  Full accreditation for this three-year fellowship was granted by the ACGME for the inaugural class starting in July 2007. Through partnerships with Community Regional Medical Center of Fresno, Children’s Hospital of Central California and Veterans Administration Central California Health Care System, fellows will rotate through all of the subdivisions of Cardiovascular Medicine.  Fellows will receive extensive training in heart failure, acute and chronic coronary artery disease, valvular disease, congenital heart disease, and cardiac electrophysiology.  All rotations in this fellowship are designed to provide a highly structured didactic as well as clinical experience.

Fellows will be trained in non-invasive cardiac testing (electrocardiographic testing, nuclear imaging, and cardiac CT and MRI), as well as invasive studies (diagnostic and therapeutic percutaneous intervention). UCSF Fresno cardiologists maintain a busy patient practice and the participating institutions offer the fellows diverse clinical exposure to a wide variety of patients.

The UCSF Fresno Cardiovascular Disease Fellowship Program admits three highly qualified physicians to its program each year. Our program strongly emphasizes equally both clinical and research training.

We have started an exciting program and look forward to training outstanding cardiologists.
