Please refer to the UCSF School of Medicine instructions at: (http://www.medschool.ucsf.edu/gme/prospective/foreign) The State of California requires that graduates of schools outside the U.S., Canada or Puerto Rico posses credential evaluation from the Medical Board of California. The Medical Board will issue a "Postgraduate Training Authorization Letter" authorizing residency training in California. The letter is valid for entry into a training program for one year. The expected start date for residency training must be before the letter expires. Applications are considered complete when all documents including the vailid ECFMG and Medical Board of California "Postgraduate Training Authorization Letter" are posted on ERAS.
